We are PMI Insights.

We are a multidisciplinary partnership that brings together national malaria programs, research institutions, program partners, and donors to prioritize, design, and implement high-quality operational research and program evaluation. Through the support of the US President's Malaria Initiative, we facilitate a collaborative process to identify malaria-endemic country-driven research priorities, design and implement studies, and support the use of findings to inform malaria policy, strategy, and program guidelines. About us

In a time of stalled progress and multiple threats to effective malaria control, national malaria programs (NMPs) and their partners need clear, evidence-based guidance on best practices for control and elimination, achieving and maintaining high levels of coverage, and deploying new tools and interventions. Launched in October of 2020 by the President's Malaria Initiative, PMI Insights works to generate evidence and data to inform the global malaria community of best practices; to identify and facilitate stakeholder alignment around the most pressing gaps in malaria control and elimination policy, strategy, and implementation guidance; and to disseminate of results in a clear and actionable way.

To do so, PMI Insights collaborates with a broad range of partners from across the malaria world, including:

  • Abt Associates
  • Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
  • Centre de Recherche en Reproduction Humaine et en Démographie (CERRHUD)
  • Ifakara Health Institute (IHI)
  • MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College London
  • London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)
  • Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) of Telethon Kids Institute at Curtin University
  • PATH
  • Center for Applied Malaria Research and Evaluation (CAMRE) at Tulane University
  • University of California, San Francisco Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI)
  • Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD)
